First prepare a home-compost bin with the good ratio of brown materials* and green materials*. (To learn more, visit our How It Works)

minliving Compostable Mailers are made of cornstarch that’s why it is natural that it carries its natural scent. However, rest assured that this scent would NOT transfer to the contents of the mailers. To lighten this scent, simply open up the mailer and leave them out for a day or two.
While both help the environment in their own ways, they still have a significant difference when it comes to how materials break down. Biodegradable products break down into small micro-plastics that could still contaminate and harm the environment but certified home-compostable products break down completely and can also be safely eaten by microorganisms.
minliving Compostable Mailers still break down in landfills but will take 2 years to compost than in an industrial or home composting environment. This is considerably quicker than plastic mailers which take 400 years or more to break down. In water, minliving Compostable Mailers still break down even if it is water resistant but will take a longer time because of the cooler temperature.
minliving Compostable mailers are designed to break down within a reasonable time. However, when kept in a cool, dry environment and is out of direct sunlight, our mailers last for 9-12months. If you are planning on purchasing a bulk order, we recommend buying a quantity sufficient for 3-6 months worth of shipments.

Liquids with strong odor such as coffee or chocolate, may cause a lingering smell but if this happens, simply rinse minliving Silicone Sleeves with hot water after each use and wash it with white vinegaror lemon to stabilize the odor. You may also opt to soak it in baking soda and hot water before running it through the dishwasher.
Yes, every minliving Silicone Sleeve is dishwasher, microwave, and freezer safe.
You can opt to clean minliving Silicone Sleeves with two methods: using the dishwasher or wash by hand. Using the dishwasher, simply place your minliving Silicone Sleeves in the dishwasher and let it clean your sleeves. To wash by hand, wash them using any dishwashing soap and rinse with water.
If you live in an area with hard water, the minerals can leave a powdery white residue on silicone after washing. This mineral is harmless to our body.
To Remove White Powdery Residue From Silicone Sleeves:
Soak the silicone sleeve in distilled white vinegar for about 30 minutes. The vinegar will cut through the mineral deposits. Rinse the pieces well and dry with a microfiber cloth.

You can the minliving resealable bag as many times as you wish. However, as all compostable packaging supplies are not made to last forever, the bag will gradually lose its strength and this is when it should be composted and return to mother nature.
